A durable link is a unique URL or Web address that directly takes students to a single article in one of the library's research databases. Anyone on campus will be able to open the links, while off campus students will be asked for their name and barcode from their student ID. This is a great way to energize courses with information without making hundreds of photocopies and by remaining within copyright law. Most of the articles in the library's databases are not available through the open Web, and all of them are from peer-reviewed journals, respected news publications, recognized trade publications, or familiar popular publications.
