Limitations Regarding Students
Burning/Duplicating MSDNAA Software

This document describes limitations regarding software duplication and products that you are authorized to obtain as outlined under Authorized Software . According to the Course-Software List in that document, you are authorized access only to software listed for a course in which you are currently participating and enrolled "for credit". Do not attempt to buy, download, or borrow any products that are not listed for your course.

The ONLY MEANS for qualified students to burn ONE AND ONLY ONE COPY of MSDNAA software is restricted to just the ISO image files downloaded through the ELMS Software Center - this EXCLUDES all other software, even disks having the same title as an ISO image but borrowed through the Moraine library (LRC) Disk Checkout or purchased from Microsoft through ELMS. Students are NOT AUTHORIZED to loan or duplicate any borrowed or purchased software (not even one copy for personal backup).

Similar or other products available through ELMS that may be downloaded as a single full install (setup files) should be downloaded directly to and installed directly from a hard drive on YOUR personal computer. Trying to copy or duplicate that software should not be possible and any attempt to do so is prohibited.

These restrictions are in compliance with policies and procedures outlined by Microsoft in the MSDNAA license and clarified in private msdnaa newsgroups. Any contradiction between your interpretation of the license granted to you and these restrictions does not legally grant you a right to duplicate software other than stated and summarized in the paragraphs above.
