IMS Department Policy
The rules set forth by the MSDNAA program reflect the best intentions of Microsoft to offer an incredible and unprecedented opportunity for students while still maintaining strict control over CD and DVD disk duplication and other unauthorized use, and with which the Moraine Valley IMS Department is in full agreement. Adherence to these rules and restrictions is not only your and our legal responsibility but also a matter of professional ethics supported and promoted by the Moraine Valley College Core Values and Code of Student Conduct, by the Dean, by IMS Department policies, and unanimously by all department faculty and staff members. YOUR integrity and honesty will affect the future of this program - please act responsibly. Continuation of this program is dependent on the total cooperation of all students: past, present, and future. Anyone violating MSNDAA license or IMS Department policies, or any restrictions related to these policies, including but not limited to unauthorized duplication of software, may be subject to some or all of the following, depending on the severity of the violation and your level of cooperation:
We want to do everything possible to keep this excellent program active and available to our students, however, this program is a privilege and convenience, not a right or entitlement, and may be terminated by Microsoft or the IMS Department at any time due to violation of license and department policies and restrictions. Everyone is expected to adhere to the rules. To help promote the duration of this program and give students an active roll in its continuance, you are encouraged to report to the IMS Department for further investigation any known or suspicious violation of the license and policies - your identity will be kept anonymous and confidential. Your help may prevent the discovery of unauthorized use from outside of the college, which could result in permanent termination of this program at Moraine Valley. |
