How to Activate Your Account
on the Software Center

The main web page for the ELMS Software Center serves as the entry point to Log In on the Software Center. That same page also allows guest access to Software and Support.

Before you can login, order, or download software, you must have an active account on the Software Center. Student accounts will not be active before classes begin. To gain an active account you must:

  1. Register for credit in one of the IMS Department courses where software has been authorized for that course (click here for the Course/Software list)
  2. Make sure you can login to your Moraine Valley student email, or if you already have and changed settings to block certain email, make sure to edit the settings to accept messages sent from the Software Center (click here for more about auto-generated email)
  3. Wait for your ELMS account to activate sometime during or after the first week of class, at which time you will receive your ELMS login username and password through your Moraine Valley student email account
Students who register Monday during the first week (or later) can expect a delay before their ELMS account becomes active. Once you have gained access to the Software Center, your account will remain active as long as you continue participating in an eligible course and then become inactive again. If you enrolled in a class where software is available and you still cannot login after the first week of class, first check (2) above and then contact your instructor to verify that you are on the class roster and that your name has been submitted for activation in the Software Center.

You can Log In only if you have an active account in this system according to steps listed above.
