Review the sample passage as it appears on page 17 of Phil Sudo’s "Freedom of Hate Speech?" (Scholastic Update 124.14 (1992): 17-20) on reserve in the library.

Determine the main point of the passage as a whole and of each paragraph.

Restate the author's main points in your own words.

Remember that a summary is always shorter than the original passage.
