Step 2:
Modify the URL (Web address) to route students through the library's system

The trick is to make the URL accessible from off campus. To do this you have to add a "0-" after the http:// and then add a ".library.moraine.cc.il.us" after the .com.

Example: Let's say the link to the article I want is: http://search.epnet.com/direct.asp?an=6953210&db=afh

I would follow these steps:

  1. Add of 0- (that's zero dash) after the http:// so:
    http://0-search.epnet.com/direct.asp?an=6953210&db=afh

  2. Add ".library.moraine.cc.il.us" after the .com like so:
    http://0-search.epnet.com.library.moraine.cc.il.us/direct.asp?an=6953210&db=afh

The final URL looks like:
http://0-search.epnet.com.library.moraine.cc.il.us/direct.asp?an=6953210&db=afh

Once you have the final URL, you can paste it in Blackboard or in an class Web page.
